– Come by the Photo Contest drop box located outside the gallery entrance at Artsville and collect the Submission Notecard.
– Drag and Drop your FULL PERM texture into the Notecard and mention your SL Name, along with the name you’d like to be displayed with your image during the final showcase. Please note that by submitting your image, you automatically agree to let us display it in Artsville.
– Save the Notecard and Drop it into the Dropbox for Photo Contest Entries. We will send you a confirmation of your entry within 48 hours.

– All photographs must be taken at the ground level of the current Artsville and uploaded to Flickr between January 10th and March 15th.
– Only ONE entry per contestant is permitted. If multiple entries are submitted, we will only be selecting the latest one.

– Photographs must showcase the beauty of Artsville. Avatars may feature in the photographs as long as they do not overshadow the surroundings.
– Editing is allowed as long as it doesn’t significantly distort the original landscape. No use of AI will be permitted. We will judge on a case by case basis and inform you at the earliest if your image is deemed inadmissible.

Anu Papp, the curator of Poetic Moon, invites us to delve deeper with her heartfelt message:
“Poetic Moon, a Second Life region dedicated to Persian poet, Rumi.
Rumi helps answer the questions that bewilder us. He dresses experiences with words. He makes it easier for us to understand matters of the heart, the mind, and the soul.
He is a poet. But he is also a significant spiritual teacher.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other” doesn’t make any sense. The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep. You must ask for what you really want. Don’t go back to sleep. People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open. Don’t go back to sleep.
Thanks to Rumi, whenever I find myself quick to judge or label, I take a moment, create space in my thoughts and remember to head to that field. That is where I become one with everything and everyone.
Because when I see the world as separate, I only limit my own potential.
Poetic Moon will be open for creative public viewing from January 1 – 19th. I encourage photos and with each photo, I ask that you link it with a Rumi quote or poem.
