Splash the Gouache, the June exhibition by Manoji Yachvili @ The Annex/Nitroglobus
Manoji, known in Second Life (SL) by the name ‘Onceagain‘, is an exceptional artist whose talents span across creating stunning 2D art and meticulously designed virtual landscapes. Her SL home, a testament to her building skills, and her gallery, showcasing a wide range of her artwork, stand as examples of her artistic skills.
I am pleased and proud that she agreed to exhibit at my gallery. The gouaches she created specifically for this exhibition are impressive. Please read her description of the process she used to create them.

Description by the artist:
One of my greatest desires when I was young was to attend art school but my family forbade me to follow this dream and so I began a self-taught journey, so in real life I paint on and off, mostly using pencils and watercolors.
When Dido asked me if I wanted to exhibit in her gallery I immediately thought that I would like to try something that brought me back to reality because I recently took a tempera course and at the same time I was experimenting with software dedicated to painting and drawing.
So I took some photos of my avi on SL and then post-produced them with this software and printed them on watercolor paper, giving them some real touches.
I’m old school, I need to experiment first hand by touching and not just looking at what I’ve produced on a monitor and I often hang what I like on the walls of my home.
So the mix between three media: SL, SW and RL seemed like an interesting path to experiment and …., I simply enjoyed working on this.
In this exhibition at The Annex you will see some excerpts, however, in real life they are much better. (At the end of the course in real life even the watercolor master appreciated it 😉

I am passionate about communication and the Second Life community. I share my experiences, explorations, and knowledge through words, conversations, and machinima. I believe that machinima is a powerful tool for presenting events and experiences in Second Life and that it can transport viewers into the heart of these virtual moments. I invite you to join me on an exciting adventure as we explore, learn, and celebrate the remarkable world of Second Life together.
