THE FIRST DAY, of the rest of your life by Selen, the May 2024 exhibition @ Nitroglobus

Who doesn’t know Selen? She is an incredible and versatile artist. Her ability to express herself through various mediums like 2D artworks, 3D sculptures, and machinima is truly impressive. Moreover, Selen is an excellent SL gallery owner and curator. showcasing not just her own work but that of other talented artists as well. In short she is a jack-of-all-trades.

This exhibition, which includes a machinima, some 2D and 3D art (one of the 2D works includes video), speaks of the fears, beliefs and fantasies which invade us in the face of the unknown. And the courage it takes to overcome them, mobilize and move forward. Because no matter what anyone says, the first day of the rest of your life remains a mystery..

It needs no further explanation that I am super happy to have her installation ‘The First Day, of the rest of your life’ @ the Main hall of Nitroglobus.
