“Unstoppable Pendulum” Art Installation by Kerupa Flow

“Unstoppable Pendulum” Art Installation by Kerupa Flow

June 21st, 7 AM SLT
“Unstoppable Pendulum” by Kerupa Flow
Piano Performance by Rulie Cisse.
The Kondor Art Center

On the year’s longest day, something happens. A pendulum swings—not keeping time in seconds but harmonizing with thoughts, truths, and changes.

As the dawn of the summer solstice illuminates Second Life’s virtual canvas, Kerupa Flow—a Japanese avant-garde 2D/3D artist and enigmatic thinker—invite you to join their world. A world where time is sensed, not said. A world where art turns into sensation. A world where meaning is revealed by an “Unstoppable Pendulum” in motion.

“Under the summer solstice sun, I contemplate the upcoming apex of the relentless pendulum. I find the world to be a peculiar thing. Additionally, I consider the world to be extremely complicated, lovely, and priceless. In any case, you and I are here now. Despite the box that has been opened and whatever has left.” – Kerupa Flow

Kerupa’s creations have always whispered truths in the seams between reality and virtuality. Her installations—blessing SLB, LEA, BURN2, MEA, and GrandBlue—do not merely speak; they sing in shape and shadow, color and silence. With a hint of surrealism and a pulse of poetry, she presents places in which the visitor might feel and ponder, caught between worlds.

This specific moment—June 21st, 7 AM SLT—is to be brought into being by the atmospheric creativity of Rulie Cisse, whose piano compositions will dance harmoniously together with the beat of the pendulum. It is not just an art unveiling; it is a ritual, a reflection, and a reverent acknowledgment of the moment.

Why the pendulum? Because it swings through each one of us—between future and past, order and disorder, knowable and unknowable. And Kerupa’s pendulum never ceases. It pulsates to the rhythm of being.

Arrive. Observe. Experience the movement.

Let Rulie’s piano be your soundtrack.

Let Kerupa’s dream symbolize the state of art when not paused or explained, but merely experienced.

Teleport to Kondor Art Center on 21st June at 7 AM SLT.

The pendulum is already in motion. Are you ready to swing with it?

A Conversation with Eta (etamae) on Her New Art Exhibition

A Conversation with Eta (etamae) on Her New Art Exhibition

Violet Boa: Etachen ❤, it’s so exciting to finally be here and see the start of your new project with Jos, just as you told me about! I’m absolutely thrilled to dive deeper into it with you for my blog. Can you describe the vision behind it?

eta (etamae): Sure! It’s been changing a bit. It all started when I visited Barcelona and wanted to try something new in SL – it felt like a challenge I wanted to take on.

Violet Boa: What inspired you during your trip to Barcelona?

eta (etamae): My family lives there, and they showed me some amazing spots. I love watching people and snapping photos. I went to a Banksy exhibit that was really cool. Then Julana invited me to Souland, and that’s when the project really took shape.

Violet Boa: What main ideas are you exploring in your exhibition, and how does it fit into the virtual space?

eta (etamae): I’m mixing Banksy’s artwork with my own, playing with textures and colors. You’ll often find a “girl with a bomb” hidden around. Barcelona is full of life and color, so that’s definitely in there.

Violet Boa: I can sense there’s a real emotional tie to Banksy for you. What’s that driving emotion?

eta (etamae): I admire anyone who stands by their convictions, like Banksy, who once shredded a piece after it sold for a ton of money. I respect artists who use their art to spark thoughts and discussions. That Girl with a Bomb speaks to our times, you know? Banksy has this quote about graffiti that really sums up the raw truth and social impact that resonates with me.

Violet Boa: But you mentioned you’re not one to push social opinions. How do you reconcile that with the strong messages in your art, especially with Banksy’s influence? It feels like your art speaks loudly on its own.

eta (etamae): (laughs) That’s true, I’m not trying to be a political voice. But in Barcelona, I soaked in the city’s vibe, the people, and then seeing Banksy’s work, which says so much without shouting – it all came together. It’s about reflecting my observations, especially the tougher issues like the rise of the right wing and lack of empathy. My art opens up those feelings and maybe gives others a moment to think. It’s really about being honest, not telling people what to believe.

Violet Boa: Your art has a strong message.

eta (etamae): Yeah, it’s about more than just war. It touches on social attitudes and current issues, showing the state of the times.

Violet Boa: Jos has played a huge part in creating this gallery space. How did your ideas come together, and what was your collaboration like?

eta (etamae): After Koexistenz, I wanted to create something special for Julana. Jos and I love bouncing ideas off of each other. When he flipped the designs around at this level, I was really excited. He always has my back, and I enjoy working alongside him. We complement each other well – he’ll say, “Trust me, Eta!” (laughs).

Violet Boa: The gallery has some unique features and designs. What was the idea behind it? It feels like a piece of art itself.

eta (etamae): We aimed for a blend of organic and concrete – a nod to Banksy’s concrete walls mixed with the flow of the organic structures. It made sense to use my real-life photos. Jos and I let things develop as we go, which is why we might take our time. Good things take a bit of patience, like your Gran might say!

Violet Boa: You mentioned feeling “scared” about bringing your real-life photos into this virtual space. What do you mean by that?

eta (etamae): (laughs) It can be nerve-wracking. Maybe it’s because these are real parts of my life and not just something I just made up. It’s a personal piece of me in a different space. But you know me, I’m just a woman and my iPhone! You’ve watched my journey for ages and it never fails to amaze me. It’s scary but super rewarding when people connect with it.

Violet Boa: You’ve also said you enjoy art that some might find ugly. That’s such an interesting take! Why do you lean towards that kind of art?

eta (etamae): It’s really about capturing the whole range of human experiences, right? If art only focuses on traditional beauty, it feels incomplete. Life isn’t always pretty, and some of the deepest messages come from facing the ugly. It’s all about being honest in how we express ourselves. Like poetry – you can’t just stick to one type; it’s about the stories told and the feelings stirred, no matter the aesthetics. It keeps things lively and allows for deeper connections.

Violet Boa: What do you hope people take away from your exhibition?

eta (etamae): You nailed it – hoping for something unexpected! I’m still learning Blender, but I enjoy that I can create some of my own materials. SL is pretty amazing for this!

Violet Boa: If you had one piece of advice for other artists thinking about showing their work in SL, what would it be?

eta (etamae): Don’t underestimate your ability to create a space for your art. Whether using lighting, projectors, or prims, SL will appreciate your efforts. Even if you don’t build the gallery yourself, you can still create a fantastic environment in someone else’s space. It makes a big difference.

Violet Boa: I can sense you have your moments of doubt. But what are some of the most satisfying moments in preparing for an exhibition?

eta (etamae): Oh, that’s easy! When I think, “Yes!!! I LOVE that!” and when it excites us both – we go, “Yaaaaay!! That’s so different!” (laughs) Just like being kids!

Violet Boa: You always bring humor and positivity! Is there a particular piece of art that means a lot to you and why?

eta (etamae): In real life? Hmmm. I love a lot of pieces, from the Renaissance to graffiti. I can’t pick just one, and I’m terrible with names too. But it’s like poetry; you can’t just enjoy one kind at a time.

Violet Boa: Well, dear Etachen, thank you so much for inviting me and taking the time to show and tell me a bit more about this new project. I literally cannot wait to see it when all is done! Send my hugs and greetings to Jos. I love your teamwork and our spiritual, artful connection, dear friend.

eta (etamae): Viochen, you are always and most welcome. You know how much I love you and our friendship.

Enter the Grandeur: Grand Opening of Caerleone Manor & “Baroque Elegance” by Hermes Kondor

Enter the Grandeur: Grand Opening of Caerleone Manor & “Baroque Elegance” by Hermes Kondor

Sunday, June 8th | 9:30 – 10:30 AM SLT

Travel back to an era of unsurpassed beauty and artistic brilliance as Caerleone Manor proudly opens on Sunday, June 8th!

We are thrilled to coincide with the grand introduction of “Baroque Elegance”, a magical digital art exhibition by celebrated artist Hermes Kondor. This is not just an art show opening; it is a carefully designed experience, a seamless mix of history and high-tech innovation, guaranteed to be one of the most highly anticipated events in the online world.

You are invited to explore everything about this stunning new location, starting at the Front Entrance , from there, revel in the opulent ambiance of Caerleone Manor, a carefully designed immersive location that plunks visitors directly into the very center of the 18th and 19th centuries. Stroll through the breathtaking Formal Garden or imagine future events in the stunning Performance Hall.

The moment you enter, you will be enveloped by an atmosphere of opulent refinement, with verdant loveliness, antique surroundings that tell stories of bygone days, and dignified pavilions welcoming you to uncover mysteries. It is here, amidst such painstakingly designed surroundings, that the poignant digital works of Hermes Kondor will find their perfect home, reiterating and contributing to the very spirit of the Baroque and Romantic eras that inspired the creation of the Manor.

The buzz for “Baroque Elegance” is legitimate, and rightfully so. Hermes Kondor is no stranger to the world of art. A Lisbon-based photojournalist and photographer with over four decades of experience chronicling the bitter crux of life, Kondor brings his digital art a rich depth of vision and mastery of composition. A former photography and photojournalism instructor, and a recipient of the International Olympus Award for Macro Photography, his journey through the lens has been one of never-ending dedication to detail and passionate exploration.

“Life is to see and shoot as a photographer”, says Kondor, echoing the dedication of a committed artist. “I love composition, so I “dance” around my subjects to capture the optimum viewpoint.” This innate love of perspective and element interplay shines through in his work regardless of medium. From the energetic dynamism of street photography, capturing “Life in all its beauty and complexity”, to his recent ventures into experimental macro photography, Kondor continually pushes the boundaries of perception, revealing novel realities in the minutest detail.

What makes “Baroque Elegance” stand out is Kondor’s innovative use of AI image creation. As he freely avows, “Since I am not a purist, I very much enjoy re-creating some of my photos, in other forms of Digital art. This exhibition – “Baroque Elegance” is a very good example of what I can do with this new art creation tool.” This fusion of venerable photographic sensibilities and the virtually limitless potentiality of artificial intelligence promises a visual feast unlike any other, offering a fresh interpretation of a classic favorite aesthetic.

In addition to the stunning visuals, the introduction ensures that there is something rich to experience for each of the senses. The sounds of classical music, skillfully played by DJ Jess Blues, will resound through the manor, beautifully complementing the art and cultivating an opulent ambiance.

Our guests are encouraged to create the ambiance for the evening with formal attire; period clothing during the 17th to 19th century is particularly encouraged, but up-to-date formal attire is also just fine. This is attention to detail that transforms the whole event as an integrated and memorable experience into an eternal realm of timeless beauty.

For Caerleone Manor, the Grand Opening and “Baroque Elegance” exhibition are the start of a new chapter in culture. It’s a statement of intent, bold and confident, reflecting an eagerness to honor the rich tradition of heritage and to celebrate the unlimited creativity of the virtual age. Be you drawn by the allure of historic splendor, by the intriguing art of Hermes Kondor, or simply by the promise of a truly elegant social event, Caerleone Manor awaits.

This magical venue, Caerleone Manor, is the handiwork of Sethos Lionheart, master of the virtual realm. “Second Life is my art”, Lionheart says, his words reflecting the passion behind the grandeur. “I create, I construct, I landscape, building spaces that are full of story and full of world to discover. From building grand estates to mastering the subtleties of a serene garden, I am glad to create my imagination”. His care in flawless detail can be seen in every precisely placed stone and beautifully curving path throughout the Manor. In addition to his designing skills, Lionheart also demonstrates finer virtual furnishings under his company, CLOVE Furniture, with beautifully hand-crafted mesh furniture, made with beautiful detail and enhanced by quality animations, to ensure that beauty and comfort are the ultimate priority at all times. It is this profound love of creation and of community – “I love creating immersive experiences where people can come together, connect, and share in something more than themselves” – that makes Caerleone Manor greater than a location, but a living, breathing testament to the redemptive power of shared imagination.

So mark your calendars, prepare your finest attire, and come early to linger late. Immerse yourself in an hour of unparalleled beauty, artistic innovation, and refined celebration. A Journey for the Soul: Anu Papp’s “For the Asking” Opens at The Kondor Art Center

A Journey for the Soul: Anu Papp’s “For the Asking” Opens at The Kondor Art Center

Join us on May 29th at 12 PM SLT for an exciting experience at the Kondor Art Center. Get ready for “For the Asking”, a photojournalism exhibition by the talented Anu Papp, paired with some beautiful music from DJ Aeleen.

Anu isn’t like most artists. Her current project, “Beloved”, is featured in the stunning Poetic Moon region and showcases her unique perspective. Picture a stunning setting where amazing buildings blend with the beauty of nature, creating a peaceful visual experience. This is where Anu shares her most personal thoughts.

What makes Anu’s work special is where she finds her inspiration: Rumi, the famous Persian poet from the 13th century. In “For the Asking”, she cleverly includes lines from Rumi’s poem A Great Wagon, emphasizing that at our core, we are spiritual beings on a human journey. This isn’t just photography; it’s a thought-provoking reflection on our spiritual selves.

Anu has a unique way of working because she combines her talents as a photographer with her experience as a Kundalini Yoga instructor in California. This mix helps her connect with her subjects on a deeper level, revealing not just what’s on the surface but the true essence of what she photographs. That’s what gives her pictures such depth.

The “Beloved” area feels like a character in its own right. Imagine a rugged landscape with stunning cliffs made of rock and sandstone running along the coast. These dramatic formations create beautiful bays and shorelines, ideal for taking a relaxing stroll, feeling the pull of the tide, or enjoying a splash in the cool seawater pools. This setting encourages deep thought and reflection, inviting visitors to engage with Rumi’s timeless ideas about self and unity. Besides its breathtaking scenery, “Beloved” has many peaceful spots perfect for contemplation—places to sit, think, listen to the sounds around, and watch the water move. For those looking to share their thoughts, there are also chances to connect with others, creating a sense of togetherness that reaches beyond the physical and touches on the deeper aspects of life.

The exhibition at The Kondor Art Center, titled “For the Asking”, showcases 13 landscape photos, each paired with a meaningful quote from Rumi. The choice of 13 isn’t random; in some cultures, it’s seen as a sign of being on the right path and recognizing your efforts. While people see it in different ways, focusing on the positives can spark creativity, intuition, and personal growth, which are themes found in Anu’s work.

Anu Papp’s collection reminds us of the value of connection, mindfulness, and understanding beyond the surface. Her photos are more than just pictures; they’re glimpses into the beauty and depth of the human experience, showing her skill as both a digital and spiritual artist.

“For the Asking”

“Journeys bring power and love back into you. If you can’t go somewhere, move in the passageways of the self.

They are like shafts of light, always changing, and you change when you explore them”.
